Existing construction is where the whole window gets replaced within and existing home. This requires interior trim and exterior siding alteration. This method is more labor intensive and a better quality job. Replacement windows are not an inferior product or job but the existing circumstances need to be addressed and considered if your situation allows for a replacement window job. Some existing windows or homes are really rotted and need repair so it would make better sense to use new windows.
